Amadu Kamal is a data analyst and software engineer from Ghana, and the founder of Model Analysis Hub. His work spans statistical and geospatial models, dashboards and websites. He also created QuantAI, a free tool that analyses spreadsheets and answers questions about them in plain language. Online, he goes by kamaldeenjnr.

Background
From curious builder to client work.
Amadu's route into technology wasn't the lecture-hall one. Over five years he built his skills the practical way: mentors, peers, and a long run of real projects, each one shipped, tested, broken and fixed.
That route left him with an unusual mix. On one side sits the statistics you need to build a model you can defend: regression, risk modelling, validation against observed data. On the other sits the engineering to put that model in front of the people who actually use it.
Model Analysis Hub grew out of a simple observation. Good analysis tends to stay in reports and research papers, while decisions get made from spreadsheets and guesswork. The studio works in that gap. So far that has meant a malaria risk model mapping where the burden is heaviest across Ghana, dashboards that let managers answer their own questions, a platform that helps universities manage research projects, a website a Ghanaian NGO now runs on its own, and QuantAI.
The standard is short. The numbers have to be right, and someone has to use the result.

A grant project for the Volta Lake: an SOS from any phone reaches the person on duty, the next person is called if nobody answers, and fishers who don't come back on time raise an alert by themselves. Apps, dispatch screen and server, all built and tested. See the project.
